Consultation & Pre-Production

This is where the fun begins. You get in touch and I start to learn about your business and architectural project.

You can supply a brief or I can develop one for you based on your needs. I’ll listen to you and your ideas and we’ll collaborate to develop a shot list that covers all aspects of your design.

I’m always happy to meet at your office, local café or have a chat over the phone. The aim is to develop a relationship throughout the project, establish the main goals of the shoot and set expectation so I can create stunning images that you will be thrilled with.

Once the brief is complete I will send through an estimate for your approval and lock in a shoot date.

Preparation

Before the shoot it’s important to get the space as ready as possible. If you’re within the Sydney metro area I will happily meet you on site and do a recce of the premises. If it’s interstate, I’ll request a floorpan, behind the scene images of the build and any reference images that can help plan the shoot.

I’ll look at the direction of the building to assess the best time of day to shoot. Based on the shot list I will also determine the day’s schedule so we have time to cover all aspects of the project.

We can also assess whether the space needs styling. If the budget allows, it can be good to employ an interior stylist. I have a number of stylists that I usually work with and can refer.

Alternatively if the space is already styled and occupied I’m more than happy to work with the established styling, either with an interior stylist for partial styling or on my own and adjust where needed.

Following pre-production a call sheet will be sent to you with all the details, including arrival time, schedule and shot list.

Shoot day

Ready, camera, action! It’s all on!

With a brief in hand and all the preparation done I’ll arrive on site with the equipment needed to complete the shoot. If it’s a large project and there’s room in the budget, I will also have an assistant with me to help.

Every shoot begins with a meeting so everyone is on the same page. We’ll go over the schedule and brief all parties involved on what areas will be shot first. This will allow us to get styling ready and make sure all parties know the plan. I’ll do a quick walk through the premises and identify any concerns that may appear.

I shoot with natural light and will also introduce lighting where needed to highlight textures and features. All angles are well considered, shooting a mixture of single and two point perspectives. At the end of the day it’s about making the image the best it can be while retaining a true representation of the design.

During the shoot we can review the images as we go or after the shoot so that you’re 100% happy with the images I’m capturing.

Image Delivery

Once the shoot is complete it will take 5-6 business days for your images to be processed.

I can select and edit the images based on the brief or you can select your favourites from a proofing gallery. Depending on the package, you can expect 15-30 fully edited images.

If you wish to purchase extra images you can do so via the proofing gallery.

All your photos will be edited by me and in a style that we have agreed on during pre-production.

You will receive high resolution and web images via a private link.

*Sebastian Photography doesn’t deliver or sell unedited RAW images. All the images we deliver to our clients are a fully formed product, from the shoot right through to the finished edited images.

I will always touch base with you a week after your architectural images have been delivered.

Every shoot comes with a satisfaction guarantee and if there’s anything that needs changed or adjusting, within the perimeters of the brief, it will be sorted ASAP.
